The 2025 edition of I vini di Veronelli – Guida Oro described H. LUN as one of Alto Adige’s early private wineries, founded by Alois H. Lun in 1840 and pioneering the sale of its wines in bottle. It noted the 1998 acquisition by Cantina Girlan, which maintained the historic brand as an independent identity, and the progressive introduction of 410 g bottles beginning with the 2023 vintage to reduce CO₂ emissions.

The guide awarded 90 points to Sandbichler Lagrein Riserva 2021 and 90 points to Sandbichler Pinot Noir Riserva 2021.
