Natural fertilisation through green manure

Protein pea, vetch, sulla, barley, rye, mustard, horseradish and phacelia were sown in autumn, then scheduled for cutting, drying and incorporation in May. The mixture contributes organic matter, mobilises nutrients, stabilises soil structure, limits erosion, opens channels for water and air, shelters beneficial insects and may discourage certain parasites and fungi.
