About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are hand-harvested from vineyards in the Colli Berici, situated at elevations of 50–350 metres. The vines are between 19 and 40 years old.

Vinification

Maceration takes place in stainless-steel tanks for 12 days. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation occur in new oak barriques, divided equally between Allier and Tronçais oak. The wine is lightly filtered before bottling.

Tasting profile

Powerful in character.

Label / history

The label was created by the English architect and artist Nicolas Wood. Inspired by classical art and the work of Italian architectural theorist Sebastiano Serlio, Wood used modern technology to reinterpret Serlio’s historic drawings of the “ideal city.”
