The Planeta team vintage: first assessment

The 2020 harvest was presented through the people working across Planeta’s five Sicilian territories. At Capo Milazzo, Alessio Planeta undertook the harvest account himself, describing the return to hands-on winery work as a personal way of remembering an exceptional year. The broader season began at Noto on 10 August and was expected to conclude on Etna at the end of October. A dry summer without excessive heat produced low yields, concentrated aromatic profiles and healthy fruit in the varieties harvested during the first phase.
