Gold medal for La Roncaia Eclisse

La Roncaia’s 2015 Eclisse received a gold medal at the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon following ProWein in Düsseldorf. President Marco Fantinel and enologist Gabriele Tami prepared to present the wine at Vinitaly in Verona from 9 to 12 April 2017.

Tami connected Sauvignon’s potential in the northern Colli Orientali with the proximity of the Prealpi Giulie, a relatively cool climate and Friulian flysch soils. He associated these conditions with high acidity and marked aromatic character and placed Eclisse within La Roncaia’s pursuit of equilibrium between authenticity and style.

Marco Fantinel regarded the medal as confirmation of the winery’s enological direction. Eclisse was also present in international restaurants, hotels and travel retail and had been selected for Emirates Business Class.
