About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from estate vineyards of different ages within the Ramandolo DOCG. The soils are Eocene-origin marl, and the vineyards are planted at 4,200 vines per hectare and trained to single Guyot.

Grapes

100% Verduzzo Friulano.

Vinification

The grapes are picked in mid-October and raisined for at least eight weeks. After destemming and crushing, the concentrated must ferments in Allier oak barriques with regular bâtonnage.

Ageing

Maturation continues in Allier oak barriques with regular bâtonnage.

Technical data

Alcohol: 12% vol.

Tasting profile

Amber yellow. The broad, intense and complex bouquet recalls dried fruit and chestnut honey. The palate is rounded and forceful, balancing acidity, residual sweetness and tannin, with an exceptionally persistent finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 12–13°C. Pair with mature or blue cheeses and foie gras, or enjoy on its own as a sipping wine.
