About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in Panicale, Umbria, on vines trained using the cordone speronato system at a density of 5,000 vines per hectare. The vineyard arrangement is intended to improve sunlight exposure and access to nutrients, encouraging concentrated flavours and aromas. Yields are deliberately restricted.

The La Fiorita estate lies between the southern shore of Lake Trasimeno and the medieval town of Panicale, near the border of Umbria and Tuscany. Its soils are clay and limestone. The moderately continental climate brings warm summers and cool nights, supporting slow ripening and a balance of sugar, acidity, juiciness and freshness.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand, then fermented with 12–14 days of skin maceration to extract colour, tannins and aromatic compounds.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months in first-use French oak barriques, which contribute gentle woody and vanilla notes and complement the fruit. It then rests in bottle so that its aromas and flavours can integrate.

Tasting profile

Deep ruby with violet highlights. The wine is expressive and elegant, with generous fruit, roundness and softness. It has a rich, structured character, a full texture and balanced, harmonious flavours. Gentle woody and vanilla notes accompany the fruit.

Serving and pairing

Pair with red-meat dishes.

Label / history

Luxe Collection wines are made from carefully selected grapes. Each bottle has a refined design intended to combine traditional and modern styling.

Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the estate in the 1960s after leaving the automotive business and returning to his agricultural roots. The estate covers approximately 100 hectares, of which 32 hectares are vineyards. Ferruccio’s daughter, Patrizia Lamborghini, has managed it since the 1990s, and the winery works with oenologist Riccardo Cotarella.
