Librandi presents its first sustainability report
The report was presented in Verona during OperaWine. Its scope covered vinification, maturation, bottling, packaging, workers, stakeholders and communication. Initial measures included reducing bottle weight, selecting FSC-certified paper, increasing the share of certified suppliers, using photovoltaic electricity and maintaining stable employment with training and benefits. Longer-term objectives included improving winery refrigeration to reduce electricity consumption, strengthening support for small grape growers, expanding low-impact packaging, and measuring carbon and water footprints. Paolo and Raffaele Librandi described the programme as a shared undertaking involving employees, collaborators, customers, suppliers and partner associations.
