The different expressions of Luigi Bosca Malbec

Luján de Cuyo is described through permeable sandy-loam and clay-loam soils low in organic matter and a temperate climate conducive to balanced ripening. Its Malbec tends toward broad fruit, abundant colour, roundness and sweet tannins.

The Valle de Uco has shallower, stonier alluvial soils, with calcium carbonate in certain areas, rapid drainage and a pronounced difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Its Malbec is described as more vertical and agile, with floral, spicy and mineral dimensions.

The estate uses selected lots from both regions. Los Miradores and Miralejos provide contrasting Valle de Uco expressions, while Las Compuertas, Vistalba and Agrelo contribute to Luján de Cuyo wines. Selected Miralejos parcels in Altamira are especially associated with stony, calcareous ground and mineral character.
