The Colors of Summer — Veraison

Long summer days brought the vineyards to veraison. Pinot Nero and Cabernet Franc berries were changing colour, softening and beginning the accumulation of sugars, anthocyanins and phenolic compounds that would influence the vintage’s aromas and flavours. The team monitored ripening closely and managed the balance between sunlight and shade during this decisive period.
