Terre Miroglio expands its holdings in Nizza Monferrato

Terre Miroglio expanded its Piedmontese winegrowing holdings through acquisitions in both the Langhe and Asti Monferrato. The operation concerning Malgrà added approximately 12 hectares in Nizza Monferrato, of which 9 hectares were already planted with vines. It was designed to expand and consolidate the winery’s existing vineyard base.

After the acquisition, Malgrà controlled more than 40 hectares of vineyards. Approximately 90% of the Monferrato holdings were in Nizza Monferrato, while the remainder lay in neighboring Mombaruzzo, the location of the winery. Mora di Sassi, used for Nizza Riserva, Gaiana, used for Nizza, and Cugnexio, used for Moscato d’Asti, were identified as the three principal plots.

The expansion formed part of the investment strategy of Terre Miroglio, owned by Edoardo Miroglio together with his wife Ivana and their children Marta and Franco.
