About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Barbera vineyards are situated southwest of Alba. In the small Mommiano vineyard, the vines are almost 50 years old. Soils containing a good proportion of clay support grape ripening.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in late September, then destemmed and pressed. Maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in stainless-steel tanks over 10 days.
Ageing
The wine matures in steel and concrete vats, followed by a very short period in oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Refined and vibrant, with freshness and a contemporary character in the 2022 vintage.
