Wine Club – Selezione autunnale 2019

The summer was hot and dry, with rain arriving at useful points in the ripening cycle. Vineyard treatments were few and targeted. Warm days and cool evenings supported tannin development. Pinot Nero was harvested first, more than a week later than in 2018; the young vineyard was then in its third productive year and had suffered some crop loss to roe deer. Hill-grown Friulano and Pinot Grigio followed, receiving soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation. To reduce printed material, the Wine Club moved information formerly enclosed in shipment boxes into digital form.
