Masottina’s 80 years: a story of vision and identity

The anniversary account identifies the principal stages of Masottina’s development. Epifanio Dal Bianco acquired Ai Palazzi in 1946, and the “Masottina” inscription uncovered during restoration supplied the business name. Further vineyard purchases and consolidation followed.

The family bought its first Ogliano hectares in 1992. Ogliano gained Rive recognition with the creation of the DOCG in 2009, and the Terre di Ogliano winery completed its first vinification in 2012. In 2021, R.D.O. Levante 2019 became the first Rive wine in Wine Spectator’s Top 100, prompting the Il Valore del Tempo project; Masottina also renewed its identity for its 75th anniversary. The 2026 anniversary and Heritage Collection opened the next phase.
