Barolo Paiagallo 2016, our new Barolo

The merger with Alessandro Veglio brought 0.65 ha in Paiagallo, in the commune of Barolo. The 2016 vintage became Mauro and Alessandro’s first Barolo together, with approximately 4,000 bottles. Its production departed from the earlier short-maceration, barrique-led model: longer maceration in vertical tanks provided slower, more constant extraction, followed by maturation in a large 30 hl cask.
