I nuovi Barolo Boys, Luca Monchiero: “Il mio vino dalla mezzadria alle sfide contemporanee”

At age 29, Luca Monchiero represents the third generation of a family rooted in the Langhe. Monchiero is now managed directly by Vittorio, Daniela, Luca and Stefano. Luca recalls that his grandparents left La Morra in the era of seasonal San Martino farm moves, when a family loaded its belongings onto a cart and moved from one cascina to another. His grandfather and great-uncle remained active until 2015; Luca and Stefano subsequently entered the business fully. His approach combines inherited family memory with attention to nature, tradition, environmental responsibility and the challenges confronting a younger generation of winegrowers.
