Something for the summer: the latest release from Montecalvi

Montecalvi had previously produced a white wine but depended on the availability of high-quality purchased grapes because no white varieties were grown on the estate. After joining the cellar, Elena Renault proposed using Montecalvi's own Sangiovese to make a rosato instead. The resulting Palmira was named after Palmira Tosolini, Jim Drake's mother.
