Masi presents Monteleone21

Monteleone21 was introduced as a multifunctional extension of Masi's Gargagnago cellars, adding production, management and wine-tourism facilities. The preview took place during the celebration of the 250th harvest, with international guests and representatives of public institutions attending.

The plans placed two-thirds of the building below ground and gave it the appearance of a grassed, vine-covered hill clad in local stone. A long underground passage was intended to connect the new centre with the historic headquarters and cellars. The 12 m-high drying hall would serve the Appassimento of grapes for Amarone while beginning an immersive visitor route.

Studio Cecchini, Libero and Vittorio Cecchini, Giovanna Mar and Alessandro Beghini were identified with the design and delivery. The sustainability program included photovoltaic and geothermal energy, reduced consumption and cross-ventilation.
