Monteleone21 wins a Best of Wine Tourism Award

Monteleone21 received the Best of Wine Tourism award in the Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices category, a competition promoted by Great Wine Capitals and the Verona Chamber of Commerce.

The complex was recognized for integrating new production, management and visitor spaces with the Valpolicella landscape. Its sinuous planted form evokes vine-covered hills, while local-stone cladding refers to marogne. Two-thirds of the building lies underground to reduce its visual impact. Photovoltaic and geothermal systems supply a substantial share of its energy, and collected rainwater irrigates the green areas and vines.

The project was presented as an application of environmental, economic and social sustainability to modern wine tourism, combining access to the landscape with contemporary architecture and immersive interpretation.
