Vintage 2024 and Saint Vincent 2025

Saint Vincent’s Day on 22 January connects the newly completed vintage with the next cycle of pruning. The 2024 winter was mild, sunny and intermittently rainy, with only a few frosts. April was cold, while May brought warmth, heavy rain and explosive vegetative growth. Continuous June rain created severe disease pressure, but intensive work kept the vines healthy.

Extreme heat lasted from early July through the end of August. Moisture retained from spring protected the vegetation, although grape maturation stalled for an extended period. Frequent rain complicated harvest, yet the crop was exceptionally abundant and healthy. A warm, dry autumn supported orderly cellar fermentations and vineyard preparation.

The combination of warm conditions and unexpected humidity produced plentiful fruit with lower alcohol and structure but delicate aromas. The estate expected an accessible, lighter-drinking style. A newly acquired plot beside Tre Marie was named Il Campo della Croce after a cross was found beneath the bushes; it is intended for restoration. Sales of Triassico magnums and donations continued to support the foundation.
