Amarone Academy 2024: A Journey into the Heart of Bertani

The 2024 Amarone Academy began with a welcome dinner before moving to Tenuta Novare and the Ognisanti chapel, where participants attended a masterclass and focused tasting devoted to Amarone della Valpolicella Classico. A tour of the estate continued through the historic drying loft, where bunches selected for Amarone are laid to rest, followed by a vineyard picnic and a practical harvest experience illustrating the care given to each cluster.

On the third day the programme moved to Bertani’s historic Grezzana cellar for two masterclasses, a visit among its large casks and a vertical tasting from The Library collection of historic Amarone vintages. A gala dinner concluded the cellar programme. The final day offered participants a choice between Lake Garda and Verona before a closing lunch.
