About this wine
Vinification
The Pinot Nero grapes are harvested by hand, selected during picking and transported to the winery in 17 kg boxes. The second fermentation takes place by the Charmat method.
Ageing
The wine remains on its lees in steel tanks for at least one year.
Tasting profile
The nose is bright with berry aromas. The palate is exceptionally fresh and elegant.
Label / history
According to legend, the Ottella name dates to the 16th century, as indicated by the coat of arms preserved in the estate’s courtyard. An excerpt from G. B. Peres’s La provincia di Verona ed i suoi vini, published in 1900, states that Ottella was known in the 16th century as Verona’s only producer.
