About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia Bianca Lunga vines grow in central Tuscany at 280 m above sea level. The vineyard faces south-east and has Pliocene sandy and clay soils. The vines are 25 years old and Guyot-trained.

Grapes

Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia Bianca Lunga.

Vinification

The grapes undergo traditional drying until December and are then softly pressed. Fermentation takes place in small oak barrels called caratelli.

Ageing

Fermentation and ageing in the caratelli span a total of four years.

Technical data

Annual production ranges from 1,300 to 4,000 bottles. The listed bottle format is 750 ml.

Tasting profile

Intense golden yellow with amber highlights. Aromas evoke dried fruit, figs, dates and honey. The wine is sweet yet balanced by full body and lively acidity, with a very long finish recalling almond and honey.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 12–14°C with aged cheeses, dry pastries or traditional Tuscan cantucci. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a meditation wine.
