Harvest 2023 in Valpolicella, Montalcino and Vulture

The 2023 season in the Vulture began with many days of intense spring rain, complicating work in the vineyards. Severe summer heat added further difficulty but caused natural thinning, leaving fewer bunches of high quality. Warm, sunny October conditions completed ripening. Fabio Mecca emphasized that Paternoster’s harvest was entirely manual and that increasingly violent heat could require future adjustments to vineyard and harvest practices.
