About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from Tenuta Plozner at Barbeano di Spilimbergo, in the Friuli Grave area. The vineyard lies at 140 m a.s.l. on gravelly soils of alluvial origin. The site coordinates are 46.083° N, 12.8229° E. The estate has been undergoing organic conversion since 2013.

Grapes

70% Pinot Bianco and 30% Glera.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested mechanically and pressed within 20 minutes. After white vinification of the base wine, secondary fermentation takes place by the Charmat method in pressurised tanks.

Ageing

The sparkling wine remains on its lees in pressurised tanks for a few months before racking and bottling.

Tasting profile

Fine, persistent bubbles form an elegant perlage. The aroma combines green apple, white flowers and citrus notes. The palate is soft, direct and easy-drinking, supported by fresh acidity.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 6–8 °C. Suitable as an aperitif and with seafood, including tempura shrimp.
