About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Guyot-trained vines average approximately 30 years of age and grow at about 500 m. The technical sheet describes sandy, silty soils, while the wine narrative uses the broader sandy-loam description. Planting density is 4,500 vines/ha and yield approximately 8,000 kg/ha, with a must-to-fruit ratio near 70%. The Alpine climate and soils support the wine's fresh, savoury tension.

Grapes

Blend proportions vary by vintage. Latest published vintage (2024): 90% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon b. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand, without a drying period.

Vinification

After gentle pressing, the must ferments in lightly toasted oak barriques and remains on the lees. The main presentation specifies new barrels.

Ageing

Published descriptions differ: the concise specification gives five months in new French-oak barriques, while the narrative and 2024 shop release give six months on the lees in new, lightly toasted oak. The technical sheet describes a few months in French-oak barriques.

Technical data

The 2024 release has 13.0% alcohol. The technical sheet gives approximate values of 12.5% alcohol, 27 g/L dry extract, 5.8 g/L total acidity and less than 1 g/L total sugar, all subject to vintage variation. Production is approximately 10,000 bottles. The format is 75 cl and suggested shelf life is five years.

Tasting profile

An intense, varied bouquet combines vanilla and toasted-oak nuances with flowers and fruit, including pineapple, exotic fruit and banana. The palate has breadth from barrel maturation, balanced by fresh, savoury tension. The overall style is expressive and structured while retaining freshness.

Serving and pairing

Serve the 2024 release at 10–12 °C; the main wine page and technical sheet recommend 12–14 °C. Pair with seafood salad scented with mint and lime or with thin slices of Bresaola.

Vintage notes

The latest identified release is 2024, with a 90% Chardonnay and 10% Sauvignon b. blend and 13.0% alcohol.
