Podernovo project earns Organic Initiative of the Year recognition

Tenute Lunelli received the Organic Initiative of the Year title at The Drinks Business Green Awards for the Podernovo initiative associated with Auritea, launched at the end of 2018. The annual awards recognise beverage-sector projects devoted to environmental sustainability.

Auritea's grapes were the first to follow the complete Animavitis programme. Coordinated by oenologist Monica Rossetti, the programme monitors and manages vines individually while seeking to minimise environmental impact. The initiative combined organic certification with precision agriculture, biodiversity-supporting plant species and closer attention to air, water and soil quality. Alessandro Lunelli received the award in London on 13 December 2019.
