About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown in the village of Palazzone, near Siena in Tuscany.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in September and collected in small woven baskets. Skin maceration and fermentation take place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for 27–30 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in large oak vats.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in 225-litre oak barrels.
