Poggio al Tufo Rompicollo

Rompicollo, the Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon blend associated with Poggio al Tufo, took 31st place in Wine Spectator’s 2014 Top 100 after receiving 92 points and a “Smart Buy” assessment. Nineteen Italian labels appeared among more than 18,000 wines tasted. The recognition highlighted the Tommasi family’s Pitigliano investment, begun in 1997, and came shortly after the 2014 opening of the estate agriturismo. By that point, Rompicollo was distributed in markets on all five continents.
