Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the Friuli Isonzo area, near the Isonzo River. The vineyards have coarse soils composed of sandy marl and sandy alluvial deposits.

Label / history
The Poderi di Carlo brand was created to celebrate the winemaking traditions of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Its wines bear the name of Carlo Primosic, founder of the family business. At the end of the nineteenth century, he left Collio with carts loaded with large wooden barrels in search of a better future. The name Carlo is cherished by the Primosic family and is passed, along with the family’s commitment to winemaking, to one heir in each generation.
