Alture: the magic of the Dolomites in wine

In 2017, Stefano Pola was offered the opportunity to cultivate a vineyard in Sedico, Valbelluna, at 650 metres above sea level. He embraced it as a chance to take the Pola family’s wine activity beyond Valdobbiadene and work with approximately 9 hectares planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Nero, Traminer aromatico and Riesling renano.

The mountain site demanded sustained study, dedication and respect. After several years of research, production trials and maturation, the project presented Alture: two traditional-method sparkling wines, one based on Chardonnay and the other a rosé from Pinot Nero. The new range was conceived to connect the Dolomite landscape and high-elevation vineyard with the family’s combination of tradition and innovation.
