Fiftieth anniversary and generational transition

The fiftieth-anniversary programme linked the family’s renewed identity to generational continuity, new wine projects and hospitality. The Famiglia Zingarelli name was adopted for the crus associated with the individual Chianti Classico estates, presenting the family as both a system of values and a collaborative source of ideas.

The programme included the Giunti monograph Argilla, Pietra, Aria, Radici, an editorial tribute to founder Italo Zingarelli, and a limited-edition 2020 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione dedicated to everyone who had contributed to the business. Sergio recalled the 1973 acquisition of the first 70 hectares and the historic hamlet and the beginning of Chianti Classico production.

The transition assigned Andrea responsibility for vineyards and cellar, Giulia an expanding hospitality role, and Sergio’s nephew Fabio responsibilities in management, administration and Far East markets.
