Lui era Trinità, the first documentary devoted to Italo Zingarelli’s life, was selected for the Cinema History section of the 18th Rome Film Festival, with a premiere scheduled for 19 October 2023.

Directed by Dario Marani and written by Clarissa Montilla and Alessio Guerrini, the film follows three phases of Italo’s life: boxer and stuntman, film producer, and wine entrepreneur. It revisits his role in the success of the films that established Bud Spencer and Terence Hill internationally and his subsequent decision to develop a property at Castellina in Chianti into a wine estate. Contributors include Terence Hill, an unpublished 2004 interview with Bud Spencer, filmmakers and critics, Laura Spano, and Italo’s children Fabio, Sandra and Sergio.
