About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in Campania in vineyards at 400–600 m above sea level, on volcanic soils. The estate owns an 11 ha vineyard.

Vinification

After harvest, the grapes undergo maceration for 15–20 days.

Ageing

The wine matures for 36 months in oak barrels of 30, 50 or 80 hl, followed by six months in bottle in the cellar.

Label / history

Salvatore Molettieri produced his first bottled wine in 1988. From 1989 to 1991, the estate sold its entire harvest and used the proceeds to acquire barrels for ageing future vintages. It has produced wine every year since 1992. The estate is now run by Salvatore and his son Giovanni, a professional oenologist.
