Carlo De Biasi nuovo direttore generale di San Felice

Carlo De Biasi joined San Felice as general manager in November 2022, taking responsibility for the development of San Felice in Chianti Classico and the owner’s other Tuscan wineries. President Mario Cuccia linked the appointment to ambitions for products, people and territory.

Born in 1968, De Biasi had served for 17 years as agricultural director of ten Zonin-family wine estates in Italy and abroad. From 2016 to 2022 he was general manager of Cantina Toblino. His previous sustainability work had earned him the Green Personality of the Year title at the Drinks Business Green Awards.

De Biasi identified sustainability as a central part of his mandate. The appointment coincided with San Felice joining Association Lien de la Vigne–Vinelink International, a Paris-based network devoted to collaboration among research organisations, producers and wine-sector bodies. Regenerative viticulture was identified as a forthcoming area of work.
