Monte di Colognola and the Continuing Focus on Cru Identity

The Soave DOC U.G.A. Monte di Colognola was introduced as a new interpretation of western Soave and its volcanic, sulphurous and calcareous character. A gold triangle on its label evokes both the hill and a fundamental geometric form. Together with VIGNA Monte Ceriani, Vecchie Vigne and Pinot Grigio, it forms a visually coherent four-wine white range.

The presentation also reinforced the estate’s parcel strategy. Vineyards are divided according to the character of individual crus, while vineyard and cellar processes pursue verticality, cleanliness, contemporary drinkability and faithful territorial expression. Armando Castagnedi described this as a continuing reinterpretation of eastern Valpolicella and Soave for present and future consumers.
