Crowns in Ferment

After the suspended atmosphere of 2020, Podere Sapaio launched Crowns in Ferment as a symbol of renewed energy. The project celebrated the crown emblem, past achievements, future ambitions and the cultural initiatives supported by the estate.

Its first element was a personalized red-and-purple digital crown designed for public use. Donna Katya then developed a broader pop-art identity from themes proposed by Podere Sapaio: nature, Bolgheri and its history, the influence of the sea and music, and support for culture. Her designs combined bright colours and clean lines with animal and plant motifs, vintage effects and pop iconography. The project framed the estate as continuously evolving and “fermenting,” while presenting the crown as a symbol of each person’s capacity to pursue a dream.
