Concerto per violoncello e pianoforte

The Note Romantiche concert paired pianist Martina Consonni with cellist Beatrice Arizza. Consonni, born in Como in 1997, received her piano diploma with highest marks and honours at fourteen and had made her orchestral debut at ten. Arizza, born in 1999, began studying cello at seven, graduated with highest marks and started performing in a piano, violin and cello trio with her sisters at fourteen.

The programme featured Felix Mendelssohn’s Cello Sonata in D major, Op. 58, and Johannes Brahms’s Cello Sonata in E minor, Op. 38. Admission was free with advance booking required, and the performance began at 21:00 on 3 June 2022.
