About this wine
Vinification
The wine was fermented in wooden barrels, a method used here for the first time. Well-used oak vessels were carefully cleaned and polished to limit their oak influence.
Ageing
After fermentation, the wine remained on its lees in the same barrels until the beginning of March. It was then bottled without filtration.
Tasting profile
The wine has a lovely aroma and rich flavour.
Label / history
The idea arose spontaneously during harvest, when Michele Satta noticed the small number of Viognier vines in his vineyards and decided to make a single-varietal wine from them.
