About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in the Montello and Colli Asolani area of Veneto, which has distinctive soils and a favourable climate.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested in early October and vinified traditionally in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine is aged in oak barrels.

Label / history

Recantina is native to Veneto. Its vines were nearly eradicated by Napoleon, who disliked wines made from the variety. Breeders and winemakers are now working to revive it, and it has returned to the official register of Italian grape varieties.
