The 2025 Harvest

The 2025 season combined a hot June, with peaks above 37°C, and intense July thunderstorms with localized hail in northeastern Italy. Careful agronomic management limited the overall impact, and the wider Valpolicella Classica crop entered harvest with promising balance and quality.

At Gargagnago, the Serego Alighieri vineyards and Vaio Armaron were among the lower-hillside sites expected to begin harvest within the first ten days of September. The bunches were healthy and uniform, while monitoring showed progressive increases in sugars and phenolic compounds. Once picking was completed, grapes selected for the estate’s structured red wines entered the drying phase.
