About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Schietto, a single plot at 400 m above sea level, planted in 1996. The soil contributes depth, harmony and richness to the wine. The estate’s vineyards lie at elevations of 300–450 m on stony soils.
Vinification
Maceration lasts about 20 days at 24–28 °C, using classic winemaking methods.
Ageing
The wine matures for one year in barriques, followed by 24 months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Rich and balanced, with bright berry notes, depth and harmony.
Label / history
The name was chosen after the wine had been made. It was suggested by Pillo, a friend of Francesco Spadafora with no connection to winemaking, and combines the names of two of the winemaker’s closest family members in honour of his father and daughter.
