APPIUS 2021 presented: an exclusive event

On 6 November, St. Michael-Eppan hosted selected wine journalists for the presentation of Appius 2021, the twelfth edition of its flagship cuvée. A masterclass of historic vintages traced the project’s development and explored how bottle age shapes depth, longevity and identity.

The theme of time culminated in the unveiling of the 2021 edition, produced from a demanding vintage that required patience and careful interpretation. Chef Daniel Hintner of the Michelin-starred Zur Rose restaurant in Appiano prepared the concluding dinner to accompany the wines. The evening connected the new release with the principles behind Appius since 2010: study, strict selection and sustained pursuit of quality.
