Degustazione vini a Novello: Barolo, Nas-cëtta e sapori delle Langhe

The article frames Novello through two complementary identities: Barolo and the recovered local white grape Nas-cëtta. It recounts the Daniele family story, Mauro and Savio’s oenological education, Mauro’s death in 2021 and the continuation of the project by Savio and Ludovica.

It follows Nascetta from Savio’s first encounter with the grape in the late 1980s through the experimental 1997 vinification, the first 800 bottles in 1999, national registration in 2001, recognition of the Novello subzone in 2010 and the launch of PASINOT® in 2014. A suggested tasting spans the five Barolo labels, Nebbiolo d’Alba, two Nas-cëtta expressions, Barbera d’Alba Superiore Persole and Dolcetto. Visits connect each wine with vineyard, soil, exposure and vintage and are available by contacting the family cellar in Via le Strette 1F, Novello.
