La Nas-cëtta: alla scoperta di un tesoro enologico

Nascetta is presented as a semiaromatic white variety historically concentrated in Novello. After declining to a few old vines and tiny vineyards, it began to recover around 1990 through the combined efforts of traditional growers, pioneering producers including Le Strette, municipal administrations and research bodies. Nineteenth-century records praised its quality, described both sweet and dry uses and linked it repeatedly with Novello; the names Nascetta, Anascetta and Danascette all appear historically, while the origin of the name remains uncertain.
