About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Old vines grow on the hills of Regaleali at 450–750 metres above sea level, where the soils and a distinctive microclimate benefit the fruit.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at 25–28 °C for 12 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures for 12 months in 225-litre French oak barrels from Allier and Tronçais. New barrels account for 20%, with the remaining 80% two or three years old. The wine is bottled three months before release.

Tasting profile

Juicy, elegant and full-flavoured.

Label / history

“Lamuri” means “love” in the Sicilian dialect. The name refers to the Tasca d’Almerita family, its people, their passion and their ideas.
