About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on selected hillsides at 500 to 900 metres above sea level. The wide difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures keeps the grapes fresh and juicy, with very good acidity.
Grapes
The wine is a distinctive blend of Catarratto and four other white varieties. The size of the Tasca d'Almerita vineyards made this blend possible.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place at a cool 14–16 °C for 15 days. No malolactic fermentation is carried out.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees in stainless steel tanks for 4 months.
Tasting profile
Fresh and aromatic, with excellent structure and very good acidity.

Leone is the result of experimentation and research in both the vineyards and the cellar.
