Gallico Petit Verdot

Gallico Toscana IGT was created as a pure Petit Verdot from Tenuta Campo al Mare. The project treats the variety’s rarity as a monovarietal wine as an opportunity to give it a leading role and to express the estate’s interpretation of Bolgheri. Its name refers both to the variety’s Aquitanian origins in ancient Gaul and to the rural character associated with the project. The inaugural 2019 wine underwent about 30 days of maceration, followed by roughly 18 months in 225- and 500-litre barriques and tonneaux.
