Tenute Lunelli pays tribute to Arnaldo Pomodoro with “Carapace Centenario”

Tenute Lunelli unveiled Carapace Centenario on the 100th anniversary of Arnaldo Pomodoro’s birth. The collector’s edition consists of 100 three-litre bottles from the 2016 Montefalco Sagrantino vintage.

The release accompanied the opening of Arnaldo Pomodoro. Una Vita at Gallerie d’Italia in Milan, part of the centenary programme promoted by Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro. Pomodoro had died the previous year, shortly before his 99th birthday.

The bottle design directly evokes the Carapace. Its label is made from copper, the material covering the winery’s dome, and carries the graphic symbol Pomodoro created for the estate. The centenary logo and a black wax seal complete the presentation. The initiative continues the long relationship among the artist, the Lunelli family and the Foundation.
