Monte Costalunga in Valpolicella
The volume Monte Costalunga in Valpolicella, written by Professor Bruno Avesani with photographs by Flavio Pettene and published by Biblos, places the vineyard within the long historical, natural and artistic development of the Veronese valley.
Its central modern story is Sergio Zenato’s creation of a carefully cultivated Valpolicella vineyard after his work in Lugana. The estate became the source of the family’s principal Valpolicella wines. Nadia Zenato described the book as the third volume in a series intended to deepen knowledge of the territories in which the family works. The publication gives particular attention to Ripassa and also presents the role of Sergio’s wife Carla and children Nadia and Alberto, who worked beside him and continue the business.
